While the cost was generally worth it, and the ability to keep games for rather cheap and get the original case and manual Man was very nice, I always had issues with the quality of the service.

There weren't many shipping facilities, so games would take upwards of a week to arrive, meaning that the time between sending a game back and getting a new one was sometimes two weeks, which I found unacceptable. On top of that, they always seemed to have very little inventory of anything, so to get a new game at release I had to send my current game back a few days ahead of time, delete everything but the new game I want off of my Q, and force them to send me that one. This wasn't a huge issue, but it wasn't the most convenient.

But I see that they're still around and continue to advertise pretty heavily, so I'm sure there's at least a good reason for it. I know they were planning adding new distribution centers a while back, so that issue may have been taken care of.

So here I am, about to move out on my own, trying to make the most of my income, and wondering: has GameFly improved at all since last time I used it? I see they have a free trial, but I won't even bother with that unless they have made some kind of improvement, particularly regarding the speed of delivery. Like I said, it isn't the cost I'm worried about, it's just the periods of time where I will go without having a game from them, and constantly checking my Q to make sure they have enough of what I want in stock. If any of you currently subscribe, I'd love to know your experience.
