Chrysler Techtools Windows 10
So i was wondering if anyone that uses tech tools Has ran into this problem . i was asked to update a 2001 Dodge 2500 For a Shifting problem so i figured i would use the drb3 with tech tools to check and see if it had an update (I haven't used Tech tools in awhile) I connect up and see that they have changed tech tools , So i down load the new tech tools and when i try to run it it give me and error message that tech tools update launch process failed. I have reinstalled the drivers and the application package. Still get the same. Machine is set up for Chrysler only windows 7 has witech on it that works just fine. Any help would be appreciated

Why not just capture the existing calibration and compare with the pdf on Techview
Windows 10 Update
I think you need to update to the new Micropod-2 and associated Techstream software if you need to update the calibration. I have been finding the old micropod and its software won't work anymore online.
Hi Lary, I tried to check the cali id with the pdfs that have been released My PCM Pt # is …AB and It does not show up in either one of the pdf flash. So i figured i would connect it up with tech tools and check it by Vin. Use to be a simple thing. Now they have updated Techtools for windows 10 and i can not get it to work. Back when TechTools was a Java application in Tech Authority, I never could get it to work on my WiTech laptop. I tried multiple versions of Java, but never was successful. I ended up having to use a different computer and it worked fine. To reflash those old Chrysler products, I still use that same laptop, but use the new TechTools application like you mentioned. I reflashed a PCM on a 2003
Jeff, do you still have the ITIL / ISIS disk that was used with the DRB III? If so, load the Desktop Flash application and use IT to flash the 'older' stuff.
I do have this disk but i have never used it, Tried to install and it is not compatible so looks like i'm pulling out the old xp laptop.
Yes, it is XP Pro and you'll need around JRE 1.5 IIRC. Your laptop must have a Serial port configured as COM 1 also. I used mine today, but my efforts were fruitless on a 2007 Jeep Liberty ABS Module.

Yeah, XP stopped at IE 8. But, the disk has the cals through 01/08, which most likely have not changed again since.The 'joke' wasn't all that funny to me. I'm not going wiTECH 2.0, I'll quit working on the P.O.S.s first. I'll let the dealers win this battle ('Have to take it to the dealer') and watch their customer base exodus when it happens. I totally understand and also agree, i do not do enough either and this will probably be my last year with them.
